A Wedding Brand Launch Event

Over six months, we worked closely with Fossil Food Catering through our mentoring programme focused on refining their brand positioning, ideal client profile, portfolio strategy, and long-term business goals.

Like many businesses, the quality of their work had already evolved. Their brand simply hadn't caught up.

Together, we explored the types of weddings they wanted to attract, the planners they wanted to build relationships with, and the experience they wanted clients to associate with the Fossil Food name.

The result was Spring Awakening.

An intimate industry event held at the breathtaking Euridge Manor, designed to showcase not only exceptional food, but a new chapter for the business.

Rather than telling people who Fossil Food Catering had become, we wanted them to experience it for themselves.

Spring Awakening was attended by a carefully curated guest list of luxury wedding planners, creative partners and industry peers. Every detail was considered through the lens of Fossil's new positioning: thoughtful, elevated, design-led and rooted in exceptional hospitality.

The Design Concept

The creative direction was inspired by the feeling of a quintessential English spring garden in full bloom.

Fresh greens, soft ivory florals and layered textures created a palette that felt luxurious without being overly formal. The design celebrated seasonality, nature and the beauty of outdoor entertaining and a new awakening of their brand as its goes into its new season of business!

The goal was to create something elegant yet relaxed. Refined but welcoming.

Every design decision was made to support the new brand direction we had established throughout the mentoring process.

The result felt like stepping into a beautifully curated country house gathering; the sort of event where incredible food, thoughtful design and genuine connection sit at the heart of the experience.

Arrival: Cocktails by the Lake

Guests arrived to welcome drinks and canapés overlooking Euridge Manor's iconic lake.

The setting immediately established the tone for the afternoon: relaxed luxury.

Soft florals framed the space while guests reconnected with industry friends and enjoyed Fossil's first showcase of the menu.

This opening chapter allowed people to settle into the experience before moving into the main event.

Lunch on the Rose Lawns

The centrepiece of the afternoon was an intimate lunch set within Euridge's beautiful rose gardens.

The table design became a direct reflection of the new Fossil brand.

Colour Palette

The hero colour was a fresh spring green.

Rather than opting for neutrals, we embraced colour in a way that felt sophisticated and fashion-led. Layered green linens were paired with soft ivory draping, creating movement and softness throughout the table.

The palette echoed the gardens surrounding us, allowing the design to feel completely at home within the setting.

Floral Styling

Florals were intentionally natural and abundant.

Delicate spring blooms in shades of ivory, buttercream and soft green appeared to spill effortlessly across the table.

Nothing felt rigid or overly structured.

Instead, the arrangements reflected the feeling of an English garden in early summer, reinforcing the event's core concept of growth, renewal and seasonality.

Furniture & Styling

One of my favourite elements was the contrast between the sculptural dining chairs and the softness of the tablescape.

The boucle-style upholstery introduced texture, while the warm wood frames added depth and warmth against the fresh green linens.

Vintage-inspired parasols punctuated the lawn and helped create a sense of occasion without overwhelming the landscape.

The overall look felt editorial, elegant and completely in keeping with the venue.

The Guest Experience

With only a small number of guests, the lunch felt intimate and conversational.

Luxury today isn't always about scale.

Often, it's about attention.

The ability to sit around a beautifully dressed table, enjoy exceptional food and connect with like-minded people created exactly the atmosphere we had hoped for.

Throughout lunch, guests enjoyed a carefully curated menu from Fossil Food Catering while pianist Okiem provided live music from the terrace.

His performance added another layer to the experience, creating a soundtrack that felt sophisticated, effortless and perfectly suited to the setting.

An Interactive Finale

Following lunch, guests returned to the upper lawns for dessert and cocktails.

Rather than a traditional plated finale, Fossil created an interactive pavlova station.

Watching the chefs finish and serve the dessert in front of guests added theatre and personality to the experience while showcasing the team's craftsmanship.

This final chapter felt playful and memorable, ending the afternoon on a high while encouraging guests to continue conversations and enjoy the sunshine.

Why This Event Mattered

Spring Awakening wasn't designed as a styled shoot.

It wasn't designed as a networking event.

And it certainly wasn't designed simply to showcase food.

It was designed to communicate a feeling.

Every touchpoint reflected the work Fossil Food Catering had invested in throughout the previous six months; defining their audience, refining their offering and elevating how they present themselves to the market.

The event demonstrated exactly the type of weddings and celebrations they want to be known for moving forward.

Thoughtful.

Design-led.

Seasonal.

Beautifully executed.

Most importantly, it allowed people to experience the brand rather than simply hear about it.

And that's often where the most powerful marketing happens.

The Result

The response exceeded expectations.

The event generated new relationships, meaningful conversations and genuine excitement around the future of the Fossil Food Catering brand.

For us at Bluebird Creative, it was a perfect example of how strategy and design can work together to create something far more powerful than either could achieve alone.

Because when a brand knows exactly who it is, every detail becomes easier to curate.

And when every detail is intentional, people remember how you made them feel.
