So here we are, 2018. Im pretty sure it's going to be a damn good one too.
It's time to get the decorations down, think about the resolutions we've made for the new year and perhaps cut down on the cheese and wine.
2017 was a pretty epic year for Bluebird Creative. It was our first year in business, only launching in February (so we're still not even one) and we've had a pretty awesome journey. Our Little Blue Book has grown, making some great new supplier connections and friends along the way. We have some epic weddings in the making for the year ahead and have had great fun building our business and our brand. We really can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for us.
With a new year brings new trends, colours and ideas. The Pantone colour of the year was announced in December and the colour of 2018 is ' Ultra violet'. Although this is a blue based purple, I predict we see an array of purple and lilac tones sneaking back into events via flowers, tableware and accessories. This will make me happy as dusky lilacs are one of my personal favourites.
As well as new trends I do expect to see last years trend of greenery a keeper for the coming year, along with the coloured metals such as copper and gold. We may also see trends of 'woodland' and 'enchanted' as sources of inspiration in the events world. These will no doubt heavily feature greenery and golds/coppers, but will be a 2018 take on the trends.
